Shiplap Wreath Display + Farmhouse Desk

Building Plans· DIY· Featured

I love the farmhouse look. I’m pretty conceded, and like to think that I loved it before Joanna Gaines came on the scene, but even if I did, she solidified my love. There’s just something so quaint about a dark stain mixed with bright white. So when I built my little farmhouse desk, I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like, and this cute shiplap wreath display is the perfect pair for it!

The reason I built this display is because I think wreaths look weird when they are just hung on the wall. There I said it! Hung on the door, yes! But if you’re gonna hang a wreath on the wall, it has to be on some sort of display. So, around Christmas time, I came up with this super cute shiplap wreath display (get the full tutorial here)- cause honestly, I have more Christmas wreaths than I know what to do with.

And just today I decided I should take down my Christmas wreath (yes, I know it’s March!) and put up a pretty Spring wreath that can stay up until next Christmas, when I throw up one of these cute ornament wreaths, or pine wreaths.

But seriously, isn’t this wooden wreath adorable (you can find it here on Amazon)? It has been my all-time favorite wreath. I love it so much. One of these days I’ll save up my money and buy me a boxwood wreath. I’ve been eyeing this one on Amazon. Then I’ll have to build me a new wreath display cause I won’t be able to choose from these two! Haha!

I had a lot of fun trying out all of my different wreaths on this display. Yes, I have WAY too many!

This paper succulent wreath is from Close to My Heart.  I don’t think this one will live on this display, but it was fun to switch it up and see what different wreaths looked like on this shiplap wreath display.

And, since I know you are dying to know, that cute little planter box is SUPER simple to make. You can find the tutorial here. I just planted some daffodils in mason jars, then stuck them in my planter box- super simple, and it is PERFECT for spring. Oh, and that pink gnome? Target dollar spot. Seriously, who knew!

Ok, I’m rambling… now you want to know how to make one of these yourself! Trust me when I say, this really isn’t that hard. You can have the Home Depot people cut the wood for you, so all you’ll need is a nailer, some wood glue, and some paint or stain!

I’ve shared the full tutorial here for my shiplap wreath display.

It is pleasure for me to see so creative ideas for interior design. I have a cleaning company and every day I see a different homes. Unfortunately rarely I see interesting details 🙂
