Modern Farmhouse/ Boho Bedroom Reveal + Farmhouse Bed Building Plans

I’m so excited to share my modern farmhouse/ boho bedroom reveal. And I can’t wait to share my free bed frame building plans.

I have been dreaming of redoing my bedroom for years. It wasn’t really bad before, but I wanted something more fitting to my style, which is a mix of modern farmhouse meets bohemian. And I am SO happy with how this bedroom overhaul turned out!!!

It’s always easier for me to envision how I want my space when I put it together on paper first. So I drew up this little bedroom mood board, and it helped me find my direction for the space.

The first thing I did was paint the walls. I painted the walls and ceiling bright white. Then I painted the dark accent wall Behr Cracked Pepper.

I followed my tutorial for how to install board and batten on this accent wall. I used 1×2 boards. I documented the entire process on my instagram account.

The part of the room I was most excited about was building a new farmhouse bed for the bedroom. I knew I wanted a farmhouse look, while still being sleek and stylish.

So I partnered with BuildSomething.com, you know, the Kreg Jig guys, to draw up building plans, and I’m so excited to offer the free building plans to you guys for free!

I fell in love with a similar bed from Pottery Barn, but it was $1400. Building this bed took me about 3 days (because of drying time) and only cost about $300 in supplies. Totally worth the $900 savings!
