Gallery Wall Ideas {and a discount code}

I am a huge fan of gallery walls. Not only are they a great way to fill an empty wall, but they are also a great way to bring some fun and funky frames into your home. I just finished up my gallery wall in my entryway, which I’ve fallen completely in love with! But before I share all the details of HOW I put together the gallery wall, I wanted to give you a sneak peak of some of the fun elements I’ve decided to bring in to the space.

 One of my favorite parts of the gallery wall are these funky frames I got from We R Memory Keepers (they are only around $5 with the discount code at the end of this post). They come already painted, finished and ready to hang, but I wanted to personalize ours a little bit. So I let each of my kids paint the frame that their photo will hang in on our wall.

 You guys!!! I can’t even tell you how THRILLED my kids were to participate in one of my projects. I mean, I’ve let them help me with things before, but usually they don’t get to paint things that actually live on our walls for years.

 I had to let go of some of my OCD tendancies and realize that the frames weren’t going to be exactly how I would do them… but I think they turned out cuter than I could have ever done, because my kids did them FOR ME!!! They tried their very best to match the colors of the house, and to paint carefully. It was so sweet, and I love the uneven polka dots more than I could ever love anything I did myself.

 Don’t they look GREAT in this space??

 The other thing I love in gallery walls is when you throw in something that isn’t exactly a frame. Like this Shutter Memo Holder. It is the perfect place to put Christmas cards (that I can’t bring myself to get rid of), baby announcements, invitations, and that sort of thing. I love to have those types of things displayed in my home, but I hate having a cluttered fridge, and I don’t really want to frame them. So I absolutely LOVE this solution I came up with.

 And it doesn’t hurt that it is completely adorable too, right?

 I’ll share more with you about HOW I put this wall together, and a few tips I have for creating a successful gallery wall later on.

But for now, don’t forget, you can get 20% off of everything from We R Memory Keepers and Lifestyle Crafts when you use the coupon code CREATIVEMOM. Just click on the photo below.
