Love Notes in a Box {Valentines Gift Idea}

Every year, my husband and I decide we aren’t going to do gifts on Valentine’s Day. I always stick to the plan. I figure if we say no gifts, we mean no gifts… but oh no, not him! He always gets me something or does something sweet for Valentine’s Day, and then I’m left feeling like a cold hearted schmuck for not doing anything for my sweetheart. But not this year, my friends! Sure, we’ll say no gifts, but after all is said and done, I’m going to give my husband this cute little box full of heart-shaped reasons I love him, and then HE will be the one to feel like a cold-hearted schmuck! Which is perfect for Valentine’s Day… It’ll prove that I love him more!

Would you like to make this for a schmuck you love? Let me walk you through it.

Supplies:

 Gift Box Punch Board
Paper or Cardstock
Heart Punches
Evolution Die Cutting Tool
Paper Trimmer

Instructions:

Start by using your Gift Box punch board. I love We R Memory Keeper’s punch boards. Remember when I used my envelope bunch board to make my advent calendar?

The instructions come with your punch board and are REALLY easy to follow. This is what your paper will look like after you punch it and are ready to make it into a box.

Fold your box up and stick it together. I used my Sticky Thumb.

Now you’ll need to cut out your hearts. I used my Evolution Die Cutting Tool and my Heart Punches. And I had an eager little girl helping me out.

The best part of the die cutter is that it embosses too. See the edge of those hearts? So cool!

Then go to town, writing all of the things you love about your cold-hearted scmuck on your little hearts.

I made different sized boxes using the SAME punch board. I’m thinking about doing one box filled with special things for each of my kids.

Or maybe I’ll stack one box inside of the other, inside of the other.

Or maybe I’ll just leave it like it is. Simple and sweet!

Do you and your sweetheart do Valentine’s gifts? I’d love if you’d leave a comment telling me what you do for each other on Valentine’s Day…. Or maybe what you don’t do. haha

All of the products I used to make this project came from We R Memory Keepers. I am part of their Studio team, and received these products in exchange for creating this project and writing this post. All opinions are 100% my own.
