DIY Christmas Village Stocking Hangers

I recently built a fireplace in my home (check out the full fireplace build) and I just dreamed of decorating it for Christmas. But I didn’t have any way to hang my stockings, and scotch tape just wasn’t cutting it.

So I decided to build a really simple little Christmas Village that would double as stocking hangers. This project was super simple. It only took an afternoon, and I absolutely love how they turned out!

I partnered with Kreg (the Kreg Jig people) to offer free building plans for this project. I included all of the templates for the houses, so you can make your very own DIY Christmas Village Stocking Hangers.

One of the best things about this Christmas Village is that it looks just as cute in the night as it does in the day. I put some battery operated tea light candles behind the houses, and when the house is all dark at night, they look SO magical and special.

I am just so excited with how these turned out. And the best part is that they are totally customizable. You can paint them and decorate them however you’d like. I think they would look adorable with a little white painted on the rooftops to look like snow. Or painted white with black rooftops and trim around the houses. You could even make them look like gingerbread houses with a little paint.

And if you are a woodworker, you need a Kreg Jig in your life. I use mine aaaalllll the time, and I love it so much. It’s also a great gift idea if you have a DIY’er on your Christmas gift list.

This post was sponsored by Kreg. But all of the ideas, opinions, and photos belong to me. As always, I never share anything I don’t absolutely love and use all of the time.
