Girl’s Camp Flag

This week, the young women in my church are headed to camp.

I was in charge of helping them make a flag to take with them. Helping is the key word here. The only thing I really did was sew the edges of a black sheet an the girls did the rest.

The theory is that once they get to camp, they’ll stick 2 lengths of PVC pipes in the side seems to hold it up.

We used a freezer paper stencil to to the name of our ward. I did it the same way I did my DIY ScreenPrinting- {here}

Then we had each of the girls make a little pennant to represent themselves. It was a fun way for them to add their own personality to the flag.

And since our only criteria was that the flag needed a picture of our designated temple (Draper Temple), we added the temple using iron on vinyl.

I used the same technique I used for these shirts.

This month, Silhouette is offering a great promotion on the heat transfer starter kit. I love iron-on vinyl. I’m planning to make a shirt for Casey for father’s day, so stay tuned to see what I do with it.

Visit Silhouette’s special promo page, HERE to take advantage of this month’s discount and don’t forget to enter CORDUROY as the promo code in order to get the discount.
