Today, as part of our Easter Egg Countdown, our egg told us to plant some seeds…
Lucky for us, preschool was at our house today, so we got to plant seeds with all of our friends as part of our “Earth Day” curriculum.
We used pumpkin seeds because that’s what Benson chose. Not sure it was the best choice, though, because pumpkins take FOREVER. If I were to do it again, I would probably use a faster growing plant.
We just used some potting soil I already had and little paper cups. Once we planted them, we stuck a Popsicle stick in the cup labeled “pumpkin”, so their parents would know what kind of plan to expect.
Of course, they will have to be transplanted outside and into the garden once they start sprouting. But for now, the cups are sitting in our kitchen window soaking up the sun!
