Hello, it’s ME!

Tutorial

So, I realize as you are reading this blog… Hopefully someone besides my sister reads this blog… You may not really know who’s behind everything that goes on around here.

Well, it’s me… Natalie.

Yup, that’s me. In the bathroom at Ikea, with a baby on front. Pretty accurate depiction of my life.

I, like 98% of craft and DIY bloggers, am a stay at home mom. My job is taking care of these 3 little ones.

And keeping this guy happy.

Which isn’t bad, cause I really like them a lot… most days.

And, even though it’s cliche, Casey really is my best friend.

My time is almost always spent doing something for one of these kidlets or for the man I married 6 years ago.

I am pretty much always doing laundry or dishes, giving baths, making dinner, and cleaning up the endless mess that comes with 3 children under 5.

And, as much as I do it, I honestly hate housework. I am convinced that the devil himself created cheerios just to get stuck on my floor, with no hope of ever coming clean.

I am a photographer. It is my absolute favorite hobby. I’ve taken breaks when I’ve had babies to take care of, but every time I get back behind that camera, it feels like home to me. I love looking through the lens and capturing the moments that mean so much to me, and to other people too. Of course, my favorite subjects are these three:

I love doing things around our house. I don’t like paying people to do things that we can do ourselves… or that we THINK we can do ourselves.

I am always looking for a good deal, and I have a hard time paying full-price for anything.

I’m a sucker for hot chocolate with marshmallow creme, chocolate covered almonds, and elephant ear scones with honey butter.

Molly and I love nail polish. We paint our fingernails at least 3 times a week, just so we can try out our new colors… yeah, I need to stop buying it.

I love pretty things, especially in my home. I love something cute hanging on my wall, or a treasure turned decor. And, of course, I love pretty fabric.

Ohhhh fabric. Fabric and I love each other. I love to sew. The hum of the sewing machine is one of my favorite sounds, and it really is a creative outlet for me. Don’t be fooled, though. I am not an expert seamstress. I hardly ever pin or iron my seams, and I feel like measuring is just a burden. Most of the time I make up what I’m doing, which makes for some interesting projects sometimes. I love it, though.

You may notice on this blog, that I really have no idea what I’m doing about a lot of things. I have never taken an interior design class. I’ve never been to a blog conference, and I don’t get paid to do this. I just love to share what I’m doing with you all. I’ve always got a hundred unfinished projects, and things I’m working on. And I love having a little spot on the interwebs where we can connect and share with each other the things we are learning and doing.

So, please follow me. I will be here twice a week with my blog posts, but I’m also on facebook {here}, twitter {here}, pinterest {here}, and instagram {natdalpias}.

Or, you can click on those little icons, up there, on the right…

And hey, if you like what you see, leave me a comment. And if you don’t like what you see, please don’t leave a comment 🙂

Have a happy weekend.

We are going to build a giant shed… Hope I don’t get shot with a nail gun!
