You can add extra vents if you would like.

Hi, I have a question about the long side that hinges. Why cut the siding in two pieces if it really is just one long door? Thanks

The reason to cut the siding is because the plywood siding I used (t1-11) has a grain to it. In order to get the piece long enough for the side, I had to cut the t1-11 in half. If there is no right or wrong way to your plywood siding, you wouldn’t have to cut that in half.

Good plans, there are a few minor errors throughout. Overall a good set of directions. Just double check measurements on everything and cut as you go, don’t use the cut list as there are a few errors there.

Thanks Scott. I have tried to update plans as I have seen errors pointed out. But yes, we should always check measurements as we go. This is good practice in any building plan, as errors tend to happen in the planning and building process.

Hello, I printed off your chicken coops plans, great plans very detailed. My problem is there are no measurement for the 2×4 floor joist on the 4×4 post if you have that measurement that would be great. Thanks.

24″ Mike, there’s a 19″ spacer from the top 2×2 and the top of the 2×4 joist, so 19″ + 1.5″ + 3.5″ measured from the top is 24″ to the bottom of your fence bracket
