Hey-oh!
I’ve been MIA for the past week. So sorry.
This time of year, there’s a little thing called “deer hunting” that consumes every spare thought my husband ever has… Apparently hunting is a family affair around here. I knew this coming into the relationship, mind you. And actually, I totally love going up to the cabin with my mountain man.
I love watching my baby just roam free, as dirty as can be. And seeing my kids play all day long with their cousins, shooting BB-guns and making forts out of fallen trees in the forest. And those beautiful, starry nights… LOVE THEM!!!! Not a soul within 30 miles, just our cute little family roasting s’mores on the fire. Seriously, if there wasn’t actual hunting involved, it would have been the perfect little weekend away.
Although hunting consumes my husband’s thoughts, it absolutely DOES NOT consume any of my thoughts. So when he told me we were going hunting this weekend, I filed it away in my mind and…. forgot about it. I had a few projects planned to do over the weekend that didn’t get done because I was 4-wheeling around the mountains instead. And guess what? I’m cool with that. My blog schedule comes second to my family, and so I apologize that I’m not here today with an amazing project for you, but just know it was for a good reason.
And no, he didn’t get a deer. I think I must be more faithful than him, because my prayers for a fun weekend without gutting an animal won over his prayers for a fun weekend including gutting an animal. hehe.
Thanks for sticking with me, y’all. Tomorrow I’m headed to STUDIO 5 again! The show will air Friday, so make sure to tune in!
And, if you really want an awesome project to do, check out some of my favorites {here}.
Let me leave you with a little gem from our weekend… My son, the bug catcher.
