I will be taking the rest of the week off from Blogging and checking my emails to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Make sure you check back on December 1st for a bunch of fun Christmas ideas coming your way.
But, it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving if I didn’t spill my guts about being Thankful. And I honestly have SO much to be thankful for.
Today, I am thankful for this crew. I’m thankful that they are mine, and I am theirs. So please be patient with me, while I play the role of a proud mother, and brag about my family.
I know that on this blog, I don’t talk a lot about my family or my faith. But they truly are the most important parts of my life. My family comes before anything else, and they are the thing in this life that I am most grateful for. Life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. But it’s crazy and fun, and I am amazed at everyday life.
I’m thankful for this little boy, who has a heart of gold. He is the smartest little person I’ve ever met, and he never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge. He is so selfless and giving, and really tries so hard everyday to think of others. He can make me laugh more than anyone else, and his sense of humor is awesome!
I’m thankful for this little chick. She is my very best friend. My best helper, and my girly girl. She and I have so much fun together- painting fingernails, getting dressed up, and enjoying everything GIRL. I am thankful, everyday, that I have this sweetheart in my life. Our house would be a little less lovely without her in it. She truly does GLITTER up my life.
I’m thankful for this little tornado. He and I have become inseparable, and I think I like it that way. He is a joy in my life, and even though he’s the most out of control child I’ve ever met, I am completely smitten by him. He is hilarious! There isn’t a moment that goes by, that I’m not thankful for this little boy. What a joy.
And together, they are best friends. They have their moments, but they always take care of each other. And I’m grateful for them.
But maybe most of all, I am thankful for this man. He is my eternal companion, and my very best friend. He listens to me and loves me despite my many flaws. He is patient with me, and kind to me. And probably more than anything else, I’m thankful that he never holds me back. He encourages me, and lifts me up. He has never told me not to do something, and I love him for it. He is my biggest fan, and I am his. I really do love this guy with my whole heart, and I am thankful everyday that our Heavenly Father had a plan for our lives, and that these two friends ended up hitting it off.
I don’t think I could have ever imagined my life like this. I don’ t think I could have imagined the frustration and craziness of all of this family stuff, but I also didn’t know how amazing it would be.
I am thankful that I have this family. And not just for this life, but for the eternities to come. I know that our family is forever, and I want you to know that YOU can have an eternal family too. A family that doesn’t end at “till death do us part”. Please accept my invitation to learn more about eternal families, and more about my faith in Jesus Christ, and how that faith has led me to happiness. At this time of thanksgiving, I am thankful for a Heavenly Father, who loves me so much, that he sent a Savior to suffer for my sins. He has provided a way for me to return to live with my Father in Heaven again, and to be with my family for eternity. He has given me this amazing life and this beautiful family, and I am grateful everyday for the testimony I have of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
