A Boy’s Room: Airplane Theme

I want to share one of my favorite rooms in the house.

This is Benson and Jack’s room. Before we ever finished building our house, I knew how I wanted this room, and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out.

 Benson asked me for an airplane room, and so that’s what he got.

You can see a lot of where I got my inspiration on my Pinterest board {here}

Benson’s comforter came from Target. I got it at the beginning of the school year, when they sell all of their college bedding, and it has since been discontinued.

The car play mat is from Ikea {here}. $12.99

The tool bench is from Target {here}. $64.99

This gallery wall is my favorite part of the room. I just printed off a bunch of vintage airplane posters on my inkjet printer and framed them in random black frames.

You can find where I printed them on my pinterest board {here}

The airplanes are from Hobby Lobby. They ranged from $6 to $25. Half off!

Casey just hung them from the ceiling with some fishing line. (after a lot of begging from me).

The black shelf came unfinished from Hobby Lobby. I painted it black. I think it was about $10, but I used a coupon.

The alligator head was a gift from a friend. You can find similar ones {here}. $15.00

The vintage car is actually a piggy bank, and was a gift from Benson’s grandpa.

The clouds on the ceiling are just plain vinyl. I cut them out with my Cricut and stuck them on. But, if you were braver than I am, you could totally just paint them on.

The letters above their beds are Paper Mache letters we just painted. They are from Joann {here}. $9.99

Yes, we are LDS. Did you guess it? The “I hope they call me on a mission” print came from Proclamation Pictures {here}.

The piggy bank was made by my grandpa.

The toy organizer was a gift from my sister-in-law. It came from Target {here} $61.99

This big airplane came from Ross. $10.00

The curtains were made by me.

The curtains are one of my favorite parts of the room.

I used grommets, which are REALLY easy! From Joann {here} $12.99.

The curtain fabric came from Hobby Lobby. It is printed Duck Cloth and was $7 per yard.

This is Jack’s pig. Made by my grandpa.

I cut this saying out with my Cricut.

The sock monkey came from Toys R Us {here} $8.99.

Glider Rocker is from Walmart.

Another paper mache letter from Joann.

Crib bedding from Walmart (5 years ago).

Baby is one of a kind. Not for purchase.

Airplane frame from Hobby Lobby $15.00

I put in a photo of Benson in front of my brother’s plane when he was 2.

This growth chart is from Paper Coterie {here} $29.00

It is sticky, but comes off the wall and doesn’t ruin it. I LOVE IT!!!!

Another vinyl decal. I always get my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl {here}. They have the cheapest vinyl and the fastest shipping I’ve found.
